Crostini di Marco
Serving Size: 4-6
Ingredients:
1 standard baguette cut into angular 1/4" thick slices
1/2 pound ground pork
2 teaspoons Smoked Spice Sea Salt
1/2 medium yellow onion chopped
1 clove garlic minced
4 ounces of fresh mozzarella pulled apart into small pieces.
2 tablespoons olive oil
Italian parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Brush the bread lightly with olive oil, place on a cookie sheet and bake at 400-degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown on edges.
In the meantime, add oil to a pan, heat on high, and add pork.
Cook until the sausage starts to brown. Add the onion and cook until translucent. Add garlic and cook for a minute.
Cook until meat is crispy.
Drain the meat in a sieve to remove grease.
To prepare the crostini, add mozzarella to bottom of the bread. Next, pace a scoop on top of the cheese.
Bake at 400-degrees for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Top with chopped parsley and serve warm.
